GCash is now offering international travel insurance for Filipinos for as low as PHP 299 through GCash’s GInsure marketplace.
The company noted that purchasing the package takes about five minutes, with sign-ups allowed up to two hours before departure.
Users can secure the GInsure travel package by simply going to the GInsure Marketplace within the GCash app, selecting the Travel category, and confirming their preferred coverage level.
The plan covers up to PHP 500,000 for emergency medical and travel assistance while also offering a PHP 1 million personal accident benefit, PHP 1 million for personal liability, and up to PHP 50,000 for travel inconveniences.
According to GCash, the travel insurance aims to reduce the financial risks associated with medical emergencies, trip cancelations, and other travel-related disruptions.
Aside from the insurance, the mobile wallet also provides international travel eSIMs covering over 160 countries for as low as PHP 25. Overseas users can also avoid foreign exchange fees on ATM withdrawals and retail purchases by using the physical GCash Card. Furthermore, the platform offers eligible transaction discounts of up to PHP 1,500 and PHP 1,000 for direct Tap to Pay and Alipay+ QR code scanning at participating merchants.
