MediaTek has officially launched the Dimensity P1 Ultra, a 4nm processor designed specifically for use in cars.
It is used inside a car’s smart cockpit system, which powers things like:
The Dimensity P1 Ultra features an 8-core CPU delivering up to 175K DMIPS and a hardware-level ray-tracing GPU capable of 1800 GFLOPS.
It also includes a 23 TOPS NPU and supports running 7-billion-parameter AI models directly inside the vehicle, enabling advanced voice controls, multimodal interactions, on-device image generation, and real-time safety monitoring without cloud support.
The chip integrates the smart cockpit, connectivity modules, and T-BOX into one platform, supporting 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, and a built-in modem.
Its HDR ISP with AI enhancements enables 360° surround view, cabin monitoring, and driving recorders.

For entertainment, the P1 Ultra can power up to six displays at once and supports 4K 60fps video playback and recording through MediaTek’s MiraVision technology.
The Dimensity Cockpit P1 Ultra will be offered in three variants: the 5G, 4G, and Wi-Fi, which are all equipped with an 8-core CPU and 6-core GPU.
The first vehicles using the MediaTek Dimensity P1 Ultra cockpit are expected to arrive soon. Stay tuned!
