Meta and EssilorLuxottica have officially confirmed that the Philippines will be part of their next market expansion, announced at Meta Connect 2026.
The Philippines will be among the ten countries that will be getting the Ray-Ban Meta and Meta Glasses lineup through authorized channels. The rollout also includes Poland, Portugal, Israel, South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Malaysia, expanding in the coming months.
Specific release windows for individual countries and local Philippine pricing details have not yet been disclosed.
There are three products that are expected to launch in the country, including:
- Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) – Meta’s third-generation flagship smart glasses featuring a sleeker, slimmer build available in 27 color and lens combinations across Aviator, Zena, and Wayfarer styles. It delivers up to nine hours of battery life and integrates a six-microphone array that Meta claims reduces background noise by over 90 percent.
- Ray-Ban Meta Audio – The lineup’s first camera-free option and weighs at just 43 grams. Available in classic Clubmaster and Burbank silhouettes, it mainly focuses on open-ear audio and full compatibility with prescription lenses.
- Meta Glasses – Meta’s own lineup expands with the addition of the Capri and Nova frame designs, along with new specialty models developed in collaboration with LISA.
Meanwhile, two flagship software features, Muse (Meta’s personal AI assistant) and Hearing Enhancement, remain exclusive to the United States for now, meaning the local release will not include the complete feature set showcased at the event.
Both companies also confirmed plans to expand their combined portfolio to over 100 styles across the Ray-Ban, Oakley, and Meta Glasses brands by the end of the year, with local pricing to be revealed shortly before its own rollout.
Until now, local consumers have relied on grey-market importers and unauthorized marketplace resellers to source AI smart glasses. An official local release allows consumers to benefit from warranty coverage, certified consumer protection, and direct post-sales support.
