A new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman outlines Apple’s planned Mac releases for 2026, showing a full shift to the next generation of Apple Silicon chips.
According to the report, Apple is expected to launch new MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, as well as an updated M5 MacBook Air, in the first half of 2026.
Aside from that, a new model said to use an A18 Pro chip, simply called the “MacBook,” may also return during this period.
By mid-2026, Apple is expected to update the Mac mini and Mac Studio, both running M5 series chips.

At the end of the year, Apple is reportedly preparing another refresh of the MacBook Pro lineup, this time moving to M6 Pro and M6 Max chips. A new 14-inch model is also expected as part of this phase.
Keep in mind that these timelines are not official. They could shift and change, as Apple often adjusts release schedules during development.
