Good news for those who have been waiting, because despite earlier rumors suggesting a delay, Samsung is still expected to launch the Galaxy S26 series on schedule.
A new report from ChosunBiz says Samsung will announce the Galaxy S26 lineup in late January 2026.
Previously, Samsung extended the hardware verification phase after deciding to replace the Galaxy S26 Edge model with the Galaxy S26+. Fortunately, the process was reportedly completed without affecting the launch timeline.
As for processors, the Exynos 2600, Samsung’s first 2nm smartphone chip, is expected to be used in the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in all markets.

The Snapdragon variant is expected to offer higher GPU performance and better sustained performance since it will use a separate 5G modem chip.
More details about the Galaxy S26 lineup are likely to surface as the launch date approaches. The Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event is expected to take place in the last week of January next year, so stay tuned.
