Xiaomi has launched the REDMI 17 and REDMI 17 5G, but there is still no word on whether the new models will be released in the Philippines.
The REDMI 17 features a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra. It comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with support for microSD expansion of up to 2TB.
For cameras, it has a 50MP main rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The phone also packs a 7,500mAh battery with 45W charging and runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IP64 rating.
The REDMI 17 5G has the same 6.9-inch 120Hz display and 7,500mAh battery, but upgrades to the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 platform and UFS 2.2 storage. It also supports 5G connectivity and NFC.
Both models come with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
Xiaomi has not announced Philippine pricing or availability for either model yet. However, REDMI’s number series has been consistently available in the local market, with the REDMI Note 15 5G currently listed in the Philippines at PHP 14,999.
For now, Philippine availability of the REDMI 17 series remains unconfirmed.
