ColorOS 16 has been introduced by OPPO alongside the OPPO Find X9 Ultra.
The update focuses on what OPPO describes as a “Smart & Smooth” experience, and a key part of it is the expansion of “OPPO AI.”
New tools include AI Mind Space, which appears to act as a hub for AI-assisted tasks, and AI Live Translation for real-time language conversion. There is also AI Bill Manager, designed to extract and organize expense details, and AI Menu Translation, which helps translate foreign-language menus using the camera.
ColorOS 16 also introduces improvements in connectivity and sharing, with the Quick Share feature now supporting enhanced file transfers.
Meanwhile, Live Space adds an interface element that surfaces ongoing activities such as schedules or real-time updates, directly on the screen.
In terms of visuals, the update brings subtle UI adjustments and more fluid animations, alongside what OPPO calls “Seamless Animation.” These changes aim to reduce lag between actions and create a more unified system experience.+
OPPO has not yet released a detailed rollout timeline. Availability of ColorOS 16 will depend on device eligibility.
