Qualcomm may introduce a more affordable version of its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor this year.
The rumored chip reportedly carries the model number SM8850-1-AB. Early Geekbench 6 results suggest its performance is close to the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (SM8850-AC).
However, it may feature slight changes in clock speeds, chip binning, or other optimizations to reduce cost.
As of writing, Qualcomm has not officially announced the rumored Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 variant, and its specifications and availability remain unconfirmed.
