Smart Communications, in collaboration with ZTE, has launched what it calls the most affordable 5G smartphone in the Philippines. The new device, named the Blade A75 5G, was unveiled on August 22, 2024, and is being offered exclusively through Smart in the country.
Lloyd Manaloto, a representative from Smart, highlighted that this launch is part of their effort to make 5G technology accessible to more Filipinos by offering a device that combines affordability with premium features.

The announcement has sparked a conversation online, with many Filipinos sharing their opinions about the new 5G smartphone. One Reddit user mentioned that the Blade A75 5G could be a better choice than purchasing a 5G pocket WiFi, which typically costs around PHP 3,000, adding that it could also serve as a backup smartphone.
Another user praised the device as a great budget-friendly option from Smart and ZTE but noted that its primary drawback is that it is locked to the Smart/TNT network.
