
Apple has released iOS 26.6.1 and iPadOS 26.6.1 with multiple security fixes. The updates were released on August 17, 2026, and include fixes that were first available in the iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 betas.
The update addresses security issues across Audio, ImageIO, IOGPUFamily, Kernel, Telephony, WebKit, WebKit History, and WebKit Storage.
Several of the fixes involve WebKit, which could cause Safari crashes, memory corruption, unexpected process termination, or sensitive data leaks when processing maliciously crafted web content.
Apple also fixed a kernel issue that could allow an app to cause unexpected system termination or to read kernel memory, as well as another issue that could corrupt kernel memory.
For iPhone users, the update also addresses a Telephony vulnerability that could allow an attacker in a privileged network position to bypass IPSec authentication and intercept network traffic.
