
Sharp recently announced its latest smartphone in Japan, the Sharp AQUOS R9 pro. It now joins the R9 series together with the vanilla AQUOS R9.
For specs, the Sharp AQUOS R9 pro boasts a 50.3MP Vario-Summicron camera system, supervised by Leica, which consists of a 50.3MP 1/0.98-inch main sensor with OIS, a 50.3MP 1/1.56-inch telephoto lens with 8x optical and 20x digital zooms, and a 50.3MP ultra-wide shooter with 122-degree angle view.
The camera system is housed in a huge circular camera module at the back that can hold accessories such as filters for the camera. It has a unique heat dissipation system by combining heat dissipation through the camera ring with heat diffusion from the main unit’s surface through the internal vapor chamber, internal heat is effectively removed.
At the front, it sports a 6.7-inch QHD+ PRO IGZO OLED panel with 240Hz adaptive refresh rate, 513PPI, and 1,300 nits of peak brightness.
It is powered by the 3GHz 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 octa-core processor with Adreno 735 GPU, 12GB RAM, 512GB storage, and 5,000mAh battery capacity.
The Sharp AQUOS R9 pro is priced at JPY 190,000 (~PHP 72,467) and will be available starting early December 2024, followed by a release of the global model in Taiwan, Indonesia, and Singapore.
It comes with a camera attachment that enables mounting lens filters, a shoulder strap, and a case.
