PewDiePie’s reign as the YouTuber with the most subscribers has been terminated by MrBeast, marking the first time that the top spot has been shaken up in almost a decade.
With his game reaction videos, Swedish creator PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, quickly rose to the top of the list of the most subscribed YouTubers in August 2013.
2019 marks the year he became the first to amass 100 million subscribers.
This month, though, MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, acquired his 112 millionth subscriber due to his charitable work.
Because of this, he now has more than 111 million subscribers, although YouTube does not reveal the exact figure.
MrBeast is well-known for his charitable efforts and films in which he gives away massive sums of money and other prizes.

He started a distinct YouTube channel focusing on charitable giving in 2021, and it currently has more than 10 million subscribers. Additionally, he is the founder of a registered nonprofit that operates as a food bank to feed communities all around the United States.
With another YouTuber named Mark Rober, he organized international collaborative fundraising campaigns known as TeamSeas and TeamTrees. These campaigns raised over $24 million (₱1.3 billion) to fund the planting of 20 million trees worldwide.
PewDiePie personally contributed over $70,000 (₱4 million) to the TeamTrees initiative through a donation.
