With the launch of the 2022 model, the well-known Motorola Edge has entered its third generation.
Being the first device to employ the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 processor is one of the Motorola Edge 2022’s boasting rights. Although it isn’t a flagship, it should still be powerful enough to deliver respectable performance on midrange phones like this one.
The two Cortex-A78 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores in the 6nm octa-core chip both operate at 2.5GHz. It has a sub-6GHz 5G connection and is paired with a Mali-G610 MC3 GPU.
We have 8GB of RAM, while the storage is 256GB, so you should be happy with that as there isn’t a microSD card slot for more storage.
The 5,000mAh battery offers a 30W TurboPower charging and a 15W wireless charging capability. For your accessories, it also has a 5W reverse charger.
There is a somewhat crowded display on the front. It includes a 6.6-inch screen that is rather big, a brilliant OLED panel with 10-bit color and HDR10+ compatibility, and a quick 144Hz refresh rate.
A crisp 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization is the center of the back’s triple camera arrangement. It is followed by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a macro mode. The necessary depth sensor is the last component.
The 32-megapixel front-facing camera then handles selfies and video calls. The under-display fingerprint scanner and a screen with an altered version of the Android 12 operating system are also on the front.
Although the Motorola Edge 2022’s official price and availability information has not yet been disclosed, it is expected that these facts will first be made public in the United States.
