Surface Pro 6, Laptop 2, Studio2 and Headphone Official Launch Philippines
Microsoft officially unveiled the Surface Pro 6 and the Surface Laptop 2 along with the Surface Studio 2 and their new Surface headphones packing identical design as to their previous models but with improved speed, battery life and new black color.

The Surface Pro 6 is the update of the Surface Pro from last year now it packs an 8th Kabylake Refresh Intel quad-core processor and longer battery life. The base model starts with Core i5 configuration, 128GB SSD storage and 8GB RAM which is a big departure from the 4GB of Surface Pro though you can max it out up to 16GB.
Microsoft also touts the battery improvement of the Surface Pro 6 which is rated at 13.5 hours use, thanks to the efficient and faster CPU and improved display.
Surface Laptop 2 in new black color variant
The same with the Surface Pro 6, the Laptop 2 base model starts with 8GB RAM + 128GB SSD storage configuration with the rated battery life at 14.5 hours.
Design-wise, set of ports and dimensions are similar to its 2015 model. But, unlike the matte finish black of the Surface Pro, the Laptop has a bit glossy metal finish due to its aluminum surface in contrast with the magnesium build of the Surface Pro 6.
Surface Studio 2 is the most powerful device with up to Nvidia GTX 1070 graphics
The professional all-in-one touch Surface Studio 2 now features a Nvidia GTX 1060 or 1070 Pascal graphics with a desktop-grade 7th gen processor. Its memory configuration is maxed up to 2TB SSDH, 512GB SSD, and 32GB RAM.
Overall, Microsoft claims a big upgrade on the display quality and output brightness. The rest of the hardware remains the same with the addition of black finish.

Perhaps the biggest surprise during the Microsoft event is the Surface headphone. At $350, the headphone offers multi-level noise cancellation, 8 microphones, and Cortana-compatible on top of its premium price.

The base model of Surface Pro 6 starts at $899 price before taxes in the USA. It means you could get it from 899 Euro in European countries and estimated Php 50,000 to Php 59,990 Philippine price including tariffs.
As for the Surface Laptop 2, it starts at $999 or around Php 59,990 if converted and adding the taxes.
Meanwhile, the Surface Studio 2 is priced at $3499 base model and we might see it around Php 180,000 to Php 199,990 in the Philippines from authorized resellers or partners.
You can start placing your pre-orders by October 16 in the USA while the global release is to follow start this month. Expect the launch in the Philippines to happen by November or December if we’re lucky.
Surface Pro outperforms Apple. Both have excellent brightness and HDR support, but only the Surface Laptop 5 has touch-screen functionality. Apple’s Mac lineup is notorious for lacking touch-screen controls, so the Microsoft Surface is a better option if you prefer more hands-on interaction.
