Micromax introduces the Canvas Infinity, the Indian company’s smartphone offer with an 18:9 FullVision Display.
When you want a smartphone with smaller bezels, they usually come a bit costly and if you’re on a tight budget your only option is the recently released LG Q6 series. Now, Micromax joins the competition to regain its former glory.
The Canvass Infinity‘s processor of choice is a Snapdragon 425 paired with 3GB Ram and 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD. A 13MP f/2.0 aperture camera can be found on top of the fingerprint scanner located at the back and a 16MP selfie camera up front. So far so good.
The 5.7″ 18:9 FullVision Display, which is the main feature of the device, sadly comes with only an HD panel having a pixel density of 282ppi (meanwhile the LG Q6 has Full HD). At this price point some corners need to be cut, but in a display this big, it’s hard not to notice those pixels.
Thankfully it runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and a planned upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo and is powered by a non-removable 2900mAh battery.
The Micromax Canvas Infinity will not be on sale until September 1 but is now available for pre-order at Amazon India for INR 9,999 or Php 8,000 (before fees).
