
Meizu is still in the smartphone business with the release of its latest mid-range smartphone packed with AI capabilities, the Meizu Lucky 08.
One of its main selling points is its AI capabilities with Meizu’s Flyme AI OS powering it up. According to the brand, it boasts AI features such as automatic call answering, call summarization, AI-powered shopping assistant, and more.
The Meizu Lucky 08 comes with a new User Interface with an updated AI assistant that can respond to search queries, examine documents, and transcribe and summarize voice recordings.
The power button also doubles as a special quick toggle for AI, allowing you to quickly access all of the AI’s features.
For specs, it sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ 8T LTPO AMOLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate and up to 5000nits local peak brightness. It is powered by the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 octa-core processor with Adreno 710 GPU, up to 12GB RAM, up to 512GB internal storage, and 6,000mAh battery with 33W charging via USB Type-C.
At the back, the Meizu Lucky 08 boasts a unique camera island design called Star Track camera system that houses a 108MP SONY ISOCELL HM6 main sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and an LED Flash.
Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, fingerprint scanner, and dual-SIM.
It is available in Star White and Meteorite Black colorways.
The Meizu Lucky 08 is priced starting at CNY 1,599 (~PHP 12,772) for the 8GB + 256GB variant and CNY 2,099 (~PHP 16,766) for the 12GB + 512GB configuration.
It is now available in China. No word yet for global and local availability, so stay tuned.
