
Apple has launched the new 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M5 chip, and this laptop is already priced in the Philippines.
The laptop sports a 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with a resolution of 3024×1964 at 254 ppi. It supports ProMotion adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz, 1,000 nits sustained brightness, and 1,600 nits peak brightness for HDR. The display also includes True Tone, P3 wide color, and 1 billion colors support.

Under the hood, the Apple M5 chip features a 10-core CPU (4 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores), a 10-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. It supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing and delivers 153GB/s memory bandwidth for smooth multitasking and media work.

The M5 model also comes with 16GB or 24GB of unified memory, configurable up to 32GB. Storage options start at 512GB SSD and can be expanded to 4TB.
On the battery side, Apple claims up to 24 hours of video playback and 16 hours of wireless web use. It has a 72.4-watt-hour battery and supports fast charging via a 96W USB-C power adapter (MagSafe 3 cable included).

Other feature includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, six-speaker audio with Dolby Atmos, and a studio-quality three-mic array. The backlit Magic Keyboard includes Touch ID and a large Force Touch trackpad.
