LG G7 ThinQ Launch: Features the Snapdragon 845, Full specs, Price

After numerous speculations and rumors, LG has finally launched the LG G7 ThinQ along with its new features.

What surprised its fans the most is the device’s notched display. Although this was shown in multiple leaks in the past, it still came as a shock. Normally, when a smartphone has a notch, it means that it will feature thin bezels. However, this doesn’t seem to be the case with the LG G7 ThinQ. The bezels are still a bit thick in the top and bottom of the smartphone.

The device has a vertically arranged dual rear cameras with the fingerprint scanner positioned underneath it. Unlike the previous model, the scanner can’t be used as the power button.

The power button can be found on the right side of the phone while the volume buttons are on the left. The button below the volume rockers opens the Google Assistant feature. Unfortunately, this button can’t be reprogrammed.

The LG G7 ThinQ features a 6.1″ QHD+ display with a resolution of 3120 x 1440. Under the hood, the handset is powered by the Snapdragon 845 along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery supported by wireless charging and runs on Android Oreo.

As for its camera setup, the smartphone features 16MP dual rear cameras with AI features. One rear lens also takes 107 degree wide-angle shots. Additional features of its camera includes Scene recognition and Super Bright camera mode. The LG G7 ThinQ also has a 8MP front camera with portrait mode.

Another thing to take note of in the device is its audio. It contains 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC and a Boombox Speaker feature. Another feature would be the DTS audio for 7.1-Channel audio but this requires speakers and wired earphones.

As of now, there is still no official price for the LG G7 ThinQ in America. However, it was reported that the device will be priced at €849 (approx. Php 52,745) in Europe.
