Lenovo, along with a few more tablets that were launched on CES, introduced a new business-wise Thinkpad X1 tablet, which is expected to offer more than just the usual features. Let’s get up close and personal with the new modular Thinkpad X1 tablet.

Before we proceed with the new stuff, let’s get to the traditional specs first. This Thinkpad X1 tablet offering up to Core m7 with vPro, 16GB of memory and 1TB of PCIe storage. It is also capable of LTE-A support, which a pretty nice addition to this Windows tablet. Display-wise, it sports a 2160×1440 screen resolution, which holds a 3:2 aspect ratio, which is pretty damn neat for a Windows convertible.
On to the newer parts, the Thinkpad X1 offers a pretty cool modular feature, which it can be utilized depending on the situation or the need. The first one is called, Productivity Module, which simply adds a 5hours to the tablet’s battery life and adds a full HDMI port to the tablet. The second module is called the Presenter module, which will feature a pico projector, this module primarily focuses on viewing through projectors and presentations. The final module is called the 3D module, which features a 3D RealSense camera, it serves as a scanning mechanism for software.
The X1 tablet is expected to be available on February for $899 or roughly Php42K. The Productivity Module will retail at $149 or roughly Php7K while the Presente Module is at $279 or roughly Php13K and finally the 3D Module will go on sale at May, with a price of $149 or roughly Php7K.
