Which is faster and better flagship CPU?
No doubt that a smartphone’s system-on-a-chip (SoC) is the core of its performance. That said, companies have been launching the next generation of their flagship processor to deliver best results.
- Ranking Chipset and CPU – Which is the Fastest Smartphone Chip?
- Kirin 970 SoC launched with AI features, coming in Huawei Mate 10 and Pro
Kirin 970
First off is the latest Kirin 970 that comes with AI capabilities and faster performance. The 970 SoC now processes 2000 images per minute compared to normal processors. The SoC promises 20 percent faster and 50 percent more power efficient performance than the 960 as well.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 835
Moving on, the Snapdragon 835 offers 27 percent faster and 40 percent more efficient performance than its previous flagship, thanks to its Adreno 540. Other than that, the processor also supports QuickCharge 4.0, VR, AR, Bluetooth 5.0 and allows multimedia features like HDR10. Check out our Snapdragon 835 powered devices here.
MediaTek Helio X30
Last but not the least is the MediaTek Helio X30 which is only found in a small number of devices. The Helio X30 boasts 50 percent less power and 60 percent less power than the X20.
As Huawei just announced their Kirin 970 SoC mass production, we pit it against the latest flagship of Qualcomm and MediaTek… the Snapdragon 835 and Helio X30. Check the comparison table below:
