We’ve all been kids at least once in our lives, though not all of us experience being a kid as a “kid”, still physically we were still kids. Nevertheless, today’s kids have changed in more ways than one, thanks to the technology. The influence of digital practices has made a few of today’s children quite dependent on technology, which isn’t bad, but could still have dire consequences in the future. Let’s look at what has changed for today’s kids.

Back when I was a kid, I really enjoy hanging out with my buds after school. We often time stick around the school grounds to play chase and “sipa”. It was a thing that we really enjoyed as kids. We developed great camaraderie through those times and it had indeed had a special place in my childhood.
Today, kids have an entirely new hangout place for everyone to meet, and it’s not even ACTUAL. Social media sites like Facebook or Twitter alone become digital hangouts of today’s students. Some simply would rather chat around with their friends via Facebook, rather than actually meeting them live. Others often meet up via game room of an online game, which is quite similar to social media meetings.
Years ago, I wasn’t exactly a fan of taking my personal pictures. I won’t necessary crave for them, I only let people take my picture when it’s necessary, like if its class related or school related, but I personally never enjoyed it. Nevertheless, it was easy to take pictures back then. A handheld film camera doesn’t go cheap back then, so we barely have someone in class to have a personal one on hand.
Today’s kids, however, seem to be really fond of getting their picture taken. Thanks to technology’s evolution, we can now get a digitalized version of our photos without the use of any film, adding to the fact that digicams are starting to get a lot cheaper than before. Also, smartphones have also become more adaptive in their camera capabilities, which eventually gave way to the process of “self-portraiture” or what kids these days are now entitled to call “selfies”.
When we were kids, our ultimate source of entertainment is either a brick game or a Playstation shop that’ll costs us a lot more than we make. It was rather hectic to entertainment yourself if you don’t have some cash with you, so it was really hard for a kid, with no-to-little cash in his pocket to find some way to entertainment himself. Nevertheless, Playstation shops and brick game machines were all we needed.
There are various ways of how a kid can entertainment himself/herself today, with a little help of today’s technology. Various gadgets like smartphones and PC computers can keep you entertained for a long period of time, with various ways to do so. You can watch some movies, play some games, social with your friends and even write your diary via these gadgets.
