Kia Philippines has officially launched a new SUV under the Sorento series in the Philippines — the Kia Sorento Turbo Hybrid — with a turbocharged hybrid engine aimed for fuel efficiency and driving experience. Check it out!
The Kia Sorento Turbo Hybrid is the company’s first car to feature a hybrid train; Its electric motor and 1.6L turbocharged engine can produce 367 Nm of torque and 235 PS. It can achieve up to 22 km/l on the highway and up to 23 km/l in urban environments.
Since it is a hybrid SUV, it can switch to a fully electric vehicle mode and reach speeds of up to 80 km/h.
It also has an all-wheel drive system that monitors road conditions and a terrain mode that provides improved handling, stability, and traction on a variety of surfaces.
In terms of interior, the Kia Sorento Turbo Hybrid can comfortably fit 7 people. It features power-adjustable seats, leather upholstery, and seat ventilation.
It sports a panoramic curved display, 12-speaker Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control with a switchable controller, 3rd-row airconditioning system, and the Terrain Mode selector.
There’s also a 2nd-row one-touch walk-in system which lets the 2nd-row seat be easily folded with only one touch.
The tailgate can also be easily opened and closed using a smart key.
Other features include a rubber-lined wireless charging pad and seatback USB chargers.
Safety features include Blind-spot Collision-avoidance Assists (BCA), Reverse Parking Collision-avoidance Assists (PCA), Surround View Monitor, and Smart Cruise Control (SCC).
The Kia Sorento Turbo Hybrid measures 4,815 x 1,900 x 1,695mm in dimensions; and 2,815mm wheelbase measurement. For wheels, it comes with a 19-inch alloy wheels.
It is available in Aurora Black Pearl, Silky Silver, Snow White Pearl, and Volcanic Sand Brown colorways.
The new Kia Sorento is covered by a 5-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty. The electric motor has a 5-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty, while the traction battery has an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty.
