Kia has officially launched the all-new Kia EV5 in the Philippines, expanding its electric vehicle lineup in the local market.

The EV5 is offered in two variants: GL and GLS. Both use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries but differ in capacity and range.

The EV5 GL is equipped with a 64.2 kWh battery and is rated for up to around 400 km of driving range under standard conditions. The higher GLS variant uses an 88.1 kWh battery, extending the range to about 550 km.

Standard exterior equipment includes LED headlights, roof rails, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The GLS variant adds a panoramic sunroof and a power tailgate.

Inside, both variants come with a dual 12.3-inch display setup for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. The system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

For charging, the EV5 supports CCS Type 2 compatibility and comes with a 7 kW wall charger and a portable charging unit.

Safety features include multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, downhill brake control, and driver assistance systems under Kia Drive Wise. Higher trims add a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, and reverse collision avoidance assist.

The Kia EV5 2026 starts at PHP2,298,000 for the EV5 GL and PHP2,698,000 for the GLS variant.

Both come with a 5-year or 160,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty.
