Qualcomm is advancing its development of the Snapdragon X2 processors, with early testing of the Snapdragon X2 Elite under the model number “SC8480XP.”
Part of the company’s “Project Glymur,” this next-gen CPU has been undergoing testing since mid-2023.
While specific technical details have yet to be revealed, Qualcomm is focused on enhancing both multi-core and graphics performance to better compete with Apple’s latest Silicon chips.
The Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus laptops, known for their battery life and power efficiency, began shipping earlier this year, and the upcoming Snapdragon X2 aims to continue improving in these areas.
Qualcomm is expected to finalize the X2 Elite’s development by 2025.
