HONOR has introduced the Watch GS 5 in China together with the HONOR Magic8 Air.
It features a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a 466 × 466 resolution and capacitive touch support, along with raise-to-wake, press-to-wake, and touch-to-wake functions.
For health and fitness tracking, the device is equipped with a heart rate sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and ambient light sensor.
It supports 100 sports modes, including 12 professional modes such as running, cycling, swimming, hiking, rowing, and jump rope, along with 88 custom sports modes.
The watch measures 44 × 44 × 9.9 mm at its thinnest point and weighs about 26 grams without the strap, or around 44 grams including the leather strap, which fits wrist sizes from 140 to 200 mm.
The Watch GS 5 runs MagicOS 9.0 and is compatible with Android 9.0 and above as well as iOS 13.0 and above.
It supports Bluetooth 5.4 with Bluetooth calling, music control, OTA software updates, and NFC functionality.
Powering the Watch GS 5 is a non-removable 495 mAh lithium-ion polymer battery, with a claimed battery life of up to 23 days under typical use or around 9 days with the always-on display enabled.
Charging is handled via a magnetic charging base, with a full charge taking about one hour under standard conditions.
The watch is also rated 5ATM and IP68 for water and dust resistance.
The HONOR Watch GS 5 is now listed in HONOR’s official website in China. It is priced at CNY699 (approx. PHP 5,3699).
