Intervenn Biosciences Led by Filipino CEO Raises P2 Billion in Funding

Aldo Carrascoso, Co-founder and CEO of the company, claims that the team handling the project’s AI technology is mostly Filipinos living in the Philippines. Carrascoso, a machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) expert, congratulates the Filipino engineers on their achievement in building the early cancer detection system.

In particular, he refers to both the back end and the front end of what is considered to be the company’s next-generation liquid biopsy effort in addition to the cloud infrastructure.

InterVenn’s local developers are also credited for their crucial contribution to developing the proprietary artificial intelligence technology used in the research.

About 150 Filipinos work for the company in the Philippines, the majority of whom are software developers. Its advanced artificial intelligence platform allows the company to significantly reduce the amount of time it takes for some processes, such as analyzing samples, from months to seconds through its global research and development teams.
