Intel has introduced new desktop processors under the Core Ultra 200S Plus series.
The lineup includes the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and Core Ultra 5 250K / 250K Plus.
The new processors come with more cores than earlier Core Ultra 200S models, which can help improve performance in games and heavy tasks.
- Core Ultra 7 270K Plus: 24 cores (8 performance cores + 16 efficiency cores)
- Core Ultra 5 250K Plus: 18 cores (6 performance cores + 12 efficiency cores)
They also have up to 900 MHz faster internal speeds compared with the Core Ultra 7 265K and Core Ultra 5 245K.
According to Intel, the new chips can deliver up to 15% faster gaming performance on average compared with current Core Ultra Series 2 desktop processors.
The company also says multithread performance, used in tasks like video editing or rendering, can be up to 103% higher than competing processors in the same segment.
The processors also introduce the Intel Binary Optimization Tool, a new feature designed to improve performance in some games by optimizing how software runs on the processor.
Other features include:
- DDR5-7200 memory support, faster than the DDR5-6400 supported by earlier models
- Support for DDR5-8000 memory overclocking using Intel Boost BIOS profiles
- Early support for 4-Rank CUDIMM memory, which can reach up to 128GB per module
- Compatibility with existing 800-series chipset motherboards
Core Ultra 200S Plus Series Availability
The Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and Core Ultra 5 250K Plus will be available starting March 26, 2026.

- USD199 (approx. PHP 11,899) for the Core Ultra 5 250K Plus
Systems from OEM partners using the new processors are expected to launch this year as well.
