Insta360 has introduced the Luna Ultra, a new handheld gimbal camera.
The device combines a 1-inch main sensor with a Leica Summicron lens and a secondary telephoto camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor. It supports focal lengths ranging from 20mm to 240mm equivalent, including up to 12x zoom and 6x lossless zoom.
The Luna Ultra can record videos at up to 8K resolution and supports Dolby Vision, 10-bit I-Log recording, and 4K video at up to 120fps. A dedicated PureVideo mode is available for low-light shooting at up to 4K60fps.
According to Insta360, the camera uses a Triple AI Chip system that combines two imaging chips and a 4nm AI processor for image processing, low-light performance, and AI-powered features.
The camera also features a detachable 2-inch OLED touchscreen for remote monitoring and control up to 20 meters away. Other features include 3-axis mechanical stabilization, AI subject tracking, built-in timecode support, wireless microphone connectivity, and a pre-installed wind guard.
For photography, the Luna Ultra supports up to 37MP still images and 200MP panoramic photos. It also includes several Leica-inspired color profiles and filters.
The device comes with 47GB of internal storage, support for microSD cards up to 1TB, and a 1,550mAh battery rated for up to four hours of recording under specific test conditions.
The Insta360 Luna Ultra is available in two variants: the Standard Bundle is priced at PHP46,790, while the Creator Bundle is priced at PHP59,490 in the Philippines.
