Huawei’s upcoming flagship smartphone – the Huawei Mate 20 is said to launch in October this year and said to power the latest Kirin 980.

Huawei stated that there were rumors saying that the latest chipset will feature an octa-core CPU containing four A76 cores and four A55 cores clocked up to 2.8GHz.

The Kirin 980 is said to outpower the Kirin 970 by 20% in terms of speed and 40% in efficiency.

As of now, further details except the launch which is set in Berlin at the IFA Congress are disclosed.

For a quick refresh, the Huawei Mate 20 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch display while the Pro version is said to sport a massive 6.9-inch screen. The upcoming smartphone is said to be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 980 built on a 7nm process. Aside from that, the toned down variant Mate 20 lite is likely to be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 710 which was also found in Huawei Nova 3i.

It is also revealed to be packed with 4200 mAh battery capacity and carry 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. Mate 20 is likely to have wireless charging so we can expect a glass back panel.
