Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro, Band 7 officially launched

Along with the Mate Xs 2 foldable flagship smartphone and the MatePad SE tablet, Huawei also unveiled its latest wearables in China, the Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro and the Huawei Band 7.

Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro 1

First is the Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro, which comes in two models, the smaller 43mm model has a 1.32-inch AMOLED screen, nanocrystalline Ceramic body, Sapphire Glass protection, and a Stainless Steel Bezel. The bigger 46mm model has a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen, Titanium Body, Sapphire Glass protection, and a Ceramic Back. There’s also a Porsche Design available.

While the titanium model is said to have a 14-day battery life under regular use, the 43mm variant is claimed to last for around 7 days. Both models promise a 30 percent increase in charging speed compared to previous generations.

Moreover, the smartwatch has ECG support, L1 and L5 dual-band GPS, golf course mode, Skin Temperature Detector or thermometer, all-day SpO2 monitoring, and supports wireless charging.

Water resistance, for is free diving, is rated for up to 30m with several functions to help train. It even has maps on over 300 golf courses pre-loaded into its system. In total, there are over 100 sports modes of which 18 modes are labeled “professional”.

Under the hood, it comes with an ARM Cortex-M processor, 32MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage. It boots on HarmonyOS with NFC for contactless payment and can be linked as a car key under specific brands and models.

Other features of the Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro include touch controls, and Microphone and Speaker for calls via Bluetooth. The 46mm model measures 46.6×46.6×10.9mm and weighs 54 grams without the strap, while the 43mm variant measures 42.9×42.9×10.5mm and weighs 50 grams without the strap.

The Huawei Band 7, on the other hand, features a 1.47-inch AMOLED 2.5D touch screen panel with a pixel resolution of 194 x 368. It supports over 8000 faces and offers 50m 5 ATM water resistance.

The wearable also comes with 96 workout modes including  11 professional workout modes such as indoor and outdoor running, cycling, and rope skipping, and 85 more customized modes, including fitness, ball games, and dancing types.

Sensors available include Optical heart rate, blood-oxygen, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope sensors. Huawei features on the device include HUAWEI TruSeen 4.0 heart rate monitoring, HUAWEI TruSleep 2.0 sleep tracking, HUAWEI TruRelax stress tracking, and Menstrual cycle tracking.

For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 5.0 that connects to Android 6.0 and above or iOS 9.0 and above, and NFC (NFC Edition only). Colorways available are Wild Green, Flame Red, Obsidian Black, and Nebula Pink.

The Huawei GT 3 Pro and the Huawei Band 7 will go on sale in China starting May 6 and May 10, respectively.
