HUAWEI has announced a product launch event scheduled for September 10. The highlight of the presentation? The tri-foldable phone.
Last month, Yu Richard, HUAWEI’s CEO for the Consumer Business Group, offered a sneak peek of this device.
The tri-fold phone features a distinctive design with a larger internal screen and a unique folding mechanism. When folded, the phone measures about 15mm thick, while it becomes approximately 5mm thick when unfolded.
One of the standout features is the phone’s 10-inch display, which is equipped with a central hole-punch camera. The design includes both inward and outward folding capabilities with a dual-hinge mechanism.
The phone also boasts a circular rear camera module reminiscent of Mate 50 series and will be powered by the Kirin 9 series platform.
