HUAWEI has announced two new tablets, the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″S and the HUAWEI MatePad SE 11”. The MatePad 11.5″S features upgraded PaperMatte Display technology for a paper-like experience, while the MatePad SE 11” offers a premium design and impressive features at an entry-level price. These tablets cater to young professionals and modern households.
Huawei’s engineers developed the PaperMatte Display to reduce visual fatigue, simulating paper-like qualities for eye comfort and stylus use. This innovation enhances the tablet experience for reading, writing, and drawing, first showcased on the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″S this year.
The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″S, available in Violet and Space Gray, is the first Huawei tablet with PaperMatte Display technology. It offers a clear display that is easy on the eyes, using advanced anti-glare techniques and multiple layers of optical coating to reduce reflectivity and improve color quality. It has earned several eye protection certifications, including Low Visual Fatigue Premium Performance Certification from SGS and TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free standards.
The tablet’s writing and drawing experience is enhanced by nano-level etching that simulates paper texture, paired with the HUAWEI M-Pencil (3rd generation) for a realistic pen-on-paper feel. Its surface is ultra-hydrophobic and oil-resistant, providing a smooth touch experience.
The GoPaint app, developed with the China Academy of Art, complements the tablet by offering realistic painting effects, over 100 brushes, and smart tools for art creation.
The HUAWEI MatePad SE 11” is designed for home entertainment, featuring a lightweight and durable design. Available in Nebula Grey, it has an integrated metal body and uses Huawei’s patented antenna technology for smooth signal transmission. The tablet has a 1920 x 1200 resolution FHD+ screen, four speakers with Huawei Histen 9.0 audio, and a 7700 mAh battery with fast-charging capabilities.
The tablet supports the HUAWEI M-Pen Lite for note-taking and sketching. It includes productivity tools like Multi-Screen Collaboration and Multi-Window for easy multitasking. The BabyBus education ecosystem offers 260 features for children, while parental controls and eBook Mode cater to all family members.
