The best windows laptop in 2018 just got better.
One of the main laptop highlights in CES was the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2019. Featuring the same beautiful design and display, the Chinese company added a few features and upgrades internally to make a run for the best windows laptop in 2019.
The aluminum unibody chassis remains available in Mystic Silver and Space Gray. Housing that clean design is the beautiful and large 3:2 13.9-inch IPS touchscreen display. With over 91% screen-to-body ratio, it hides yet again the web camera along and beneath the function keys.
Port selection has seen improvement with a Thunderbolt 3 capable of running an external GPU like the massive RTX 2080. All the while providing an audio jack, a USB 3.0, and another USB-C port.
Within a powerful ultrabook, the MateBook X Pro 2019 newest feature brings easier phone-to-laptop communication. Through Huawei Share, an NFC-enabled Huawei phone needs only to be rested beside the trackpad to allow for up to 30Mbps wireless transfer.
Huawei Share paves the way for copying and pasting text to the clipboard, recording the screen of either device, transferring images after capture, and a whole lot more. Further, the company even included a three-finger swipe down on the laptop’s display for a quick screenshot.
Connectivity gets improved too with Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi card that supports up to 1.733Gbps DL speed.
As for specs, it packs a 15-watt 8th gen processor with an option for a discrete Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU.
With a global release date of April 2019, the base model with no dedicated graphics starts at P65,000 or about $1200 in the US. The Core i7 is available with 2GB MX250 graphics for $1500 or about P79,000 pesos.
