
At its global event, Huawei announced the global availability of its devices including the flagship Huawei Mate Xs 2 foldable smartphone.
To recap, it boasts a 6.5-inch OLED cover display with a pixel resolution of 2480 x 1176. The interior display covers a 7.8-inch OLED screen and 2480 x 2200-pixel resolution. It incorporates the “Eagle Wing” steel hinge design and a refined double rotor hinge mechanism which is claimed to improve long-term durability and also leaves no visible crease on the display. Durability is secured on the polymer-covered display with the four-layer structure design.
Under the hood, it comes with the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of internal storage, and a 4,880mAh battery with 66W fast charging. It boots HarmonyOS 2, supports an M-Pen 2s stylus with 4096-level pressure sensitivity, and comes with a Collector’s Edition which has a 4,880mAh battery.
For photography, it features a triple rear camera configuration consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide shooter, and an 8MP telephoto lens. Upfront is a 10.7MP selfie camera.
The Huawei Mate Xs 2 is only available in a single 8GB + 512GB variant and is priced at EUR 1,999 (~PHP 109,771). No word yet for local availability, so stay tuned for more updates.
