Huawei brought out their big guns on their IFA appearance, with the launch of premium Huawei Mate S, price around P33,900 pesos for P12k, the mid-tier Huawei G8, which costs around P20,800 pesos.
The Huawei Mate S is Huawei’s mysterious and well anticipated smartphone, its the follow-up to the Mate 7. The Mate S possesses all the redeeming features of the Mate 7, namely, the all metal body and its 5.5-inch, 1080p LCD screen. The Mate S is said to feature a Force-Touch display functionality.
The Mate S will be powered by an in-house Kirin 935 chipset, with a dual quadcore processor. For the phone’s camera,the Mate S will sport a 13MP rear camera with OIS features and an 8MP front-facing camera with LED soft light.
The Huawei G8, not like the Mate S, ain’t exactly much of a mystery. Being made official a few weeks prior to IFA. The G8 made an appearance simply to serve up a few updates regarding the phone’s pricing on Europe.
The Huawei G8 has a 5.5-inch, 1080p HD screen, a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, a 5MP selfie shooter and chip powered Snapdragon 615, with an Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The Huawei Mate S is priced at 649 euros or around P33,900 pesos for the 32GB standard variant, while the 62GB premium variant is priced at 699 euros or around P36,500 pesos. The Huawei G8’s official price on Europe is 399 euros or around P20,800 pesos.
