
HUAWEI has officially announced the return of its Mate series with the introduction of the HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro.
According to HUAWEI, the Mate 80 Pro will feature an AI-powered True-to-Color Camera system designed for different lighting conditions, including mixed and low-light environments.
In terms of design, the smartphone comes with HUAWEI’s Dual Space Ring camera layout. It is protected by second-generation Kunlun Glass and carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.

HUAWEI also equipped the device with a SuperCool Dual Phase Change Heat Dissipation system, which is designed to help maintain performance during extended use.
Despite the announcement, HUAWEI has not revealed further specifications about the local version yet. However, it is already listed on HUAWEI’s global website.
The device features a 6.75-inch LTPO OLED display with a 2832 × 1280 resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate.
For photography, it has a quad rear camera system consisting:
- 50MP Ultra Lighting Camera
- 40MP ultra-wide camera
- 48MP macro telephoto camera
- True-to-Colour Camera, supporting 4× optical zoom, up to 100× digital zoom
- 13MP front camera, supports up to 4K video recording.

It runs on EMUI 15.0 and comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, with no external memory support.
It also packs a 5750mAh battery.

The HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro is scheduled to launch in the Philippines this April.
