How to Update Your PhilHealth MDR Online

Are you looking for how to update or change your PhilHealth membership information? PhilHealth’s MDR can be updated online from the comfort and convenience of your home, so you won’t need to visit the PhilHealth office for that.

Your PhilHealth Member Data Record (MDR) must contain all the correct and accurate information as a member and beneficiary of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth). If your MDR contains incorrect or outdated information, your application might be delayed or even denied, resulting in unnecessary delays in receiving your PhilHealth benefits.

You last want to experience delays when claiming your PhilHealth benefits. Therefore, you should update your PhilHealth MDR whenever your information changes, such as when your name changes due to marriage or your address changes. You should also update your information if you need to add dependents to your PhilHealth plan.

PhilHealth used to require you to visit the office and complete a PhilHealth Member Registration Form (PMRF) before you could update your MDR. However, you can now update your PhilHealth MDR online if you are unable or unwilling to go to the branch. PhilHealth membership information can be updated with just an email address and a computer or smartphone connected to the Internet.

PhilHealth MDRs: When to Update

If your personal information has significantly changed or there has been an error or misspelling in your PhilHealth MDR, you should update it. PhilHealth membership information should be updated for the following reasons:

PhilHealth Member Registration Forms require you to check the appropriate boxes that indicate your desired changes and provide both the old (or incorrect) information and the new information. Your changes will also need to be supported by documents (e.g., a birth certificate or a marriage certificate).

The Step-by-Step Guide to Updating Your PhilHealth MDR Online

You cannot update your membership data online through the PhilHealth member portal at the moment. PhilHealth will update your information on your behalf once you complete the PMRF and email it to them.

For best printing results, use A4 paper.

By downloading your PhilHealth Member Data Record (MDR) from the PhilHealth member portal, you can view existing information that needs to be updated.

Fill out the PMRF

Once you have printed the PMRF on A4 paper, you can fill it out. The required information should be written in UPPER CASE/CAPITALS. If the information isn’t applicable, write “N/A.” Remember to use a black ballpoint ballpen. How to Get Your Philhealth MDR Online in 5 Easy Steps

Ensure that both pages of the PMRF have been scanned or photographed and all information is legible.

Taking a photo or scanning supporting documents, such as a birth certificate or marriage contract, is also recommended. To verify your identity, PhilHealth will need your valid ID.

Email the PhilHealth Office Your PMRF

Having scanned or photographed your PMRF, supporting documents, and valid ID, it’s time to email them to PhilHealth.

You can edit this message with your personal information in your email application (e.g., Gmail)

Attach scanned copies of supporting documents and valid ID to the email, which should be subjected to “Updating PhilHealth MDR.”

Your PhilHealth records will be updated once received by PhilHealth.

All you need to do now is wait for PhilHealth to acknowledge receipt of your email. A processor will then update your records after receiving your request.

Typically, processing takes 2-3 working days after acknowledgment. PhilHealth may ask for additional supporting documents or proof of identity during this period.

You can also visit the PhilHealth office to request a copy of your MDR. You only need to present a valid ID and your PhilHealth number.

PhilHealth does not have an online option for changing or updating members’ records, so you will need to email them, and they will update them for you. Other government agencies like the SSS have this option. Although it’s not as convenient as going to the PhilHealth office, it’s still better than spending your time there.

Do not hesitate to contact PhilHealth’s customer service hotline (02) 8441-7442 or email [email protected] with any questions or concerns.
