To let the changes take effect, hit “Save Copy” once you’re satisfied with your revisions.
How to Trim Videos Using Samsung Gallery
A stock “Gallery” software with surprisingly useful editing features is available on Samsung Galaxy handsets. Open the app by finding it on your home screen or in your app drawer.
Locate and choose the video you want to edit.
To access the editing tools, tap the pencil symbol in the bottom bar.
A timeline view of the video with handles on either end will be visible. To change the length of the video, move the handles with your finger. Samsung Gallery is unable to edit sections of the center of the video.
When finished, choose “Save as Copy” from the three-dot menu in the bottom right or press “Save” in the top right to replace the video.
How to Trim Videos Using iPhone
You can easily cut a video using your iPhone by navigating directly to your Photos application.
Once found, you may choose the video clip you want to cut.
You can see an option that shows “edit” at the upper part of your screen.
Many options and editing tools will appear at the bottom of your smartphone screen.Â
Find the similar button shown below (like a camcorder logo), and you may now start editing or trimming your videos.
It is convenient to cut the clips since iPhone provides a slider and lets you decide where you want your videos to start and where you want them to end. 
When done, you may press the “done” you have options to save it as a new clip or save the video only.
