How to Disable Google SafeSearch

SafeSearch is a Google Search that ensures you don’t see contents that might be inappropriate in your search results. To add that content, you must first turn off SafeSearch.

You only need to turn off SafeSearch on one of your devices that is signed in; this setting is the same on all the Google devices you use.

How to Turn Off SafeSearch on Google Desktop

Open a web browser on your Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook computer and go to Google Search. From there, you can turn off the SafeSearch filter.

Click “Settings” in the bottom right corner of the Google site.

first 2You will end up on a page called “Search Settings.” Here, turn off “Turn on SafeSearch” in the “SafeSearch Filters” section.

Scroll down the page and click “Save” at the bottom to save your changes.third 5

A message saying “Your Preferences Have Been Saved” will pop up. Tap “OK.”

How to Turn Off SafeSearch on Google Mobile

Open a web browser on your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone and go to the Google site. This will turn off SafeSearch.

Tap “Settings” at the bottom of the Google site.
