Only a few iPhone apps let you clear their cache without having to reinstall the app. The only way to remove Instagram’s cache is to uninstall and reinstall the app.
First, look for Instagram on the home screen of your iPhone.
Then, tap the app and hold it. On older versions of iOS, you have to tap the “X” in the corner and “Delete” when asked.
On newer versions of iOS, you’ll need to tap and hold the app, then choose “Remove App” from the menu. Then, when asked again, tap Delete App.
Clear all your recent searches on Instagram, either one at a time or all at once.
Start the Instagram app on your iPhone or Android to do this. Tap the icon for your profile in the bottom-right corner of the app.
Tap the hamburger menu in the top right corner of your profile page (three horizontal lines).
From the menu, choose “Your Activity.”
On the “Your Activity” page, scroll down to the bottom and tap “Recent Searches.”
Eliminate one item at a time, and click the “X” next to the item you want to get rid of.
Tap “Clear All” at the top of your screen to eliminate all the searches.
