Later this month, Honor unveiled the Honor X8 handset with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset. The company has an event scheduled today, but contrary to what we expected, the announcement of the Honor X9 model took place before that.
Honor X9 was unveiled in Malaysia with a robust 6.81-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen, 120Hz refresh rate and punch-hole to accommodate 16MP front camera. It is the global version of Honor X30, which debuted in December 2021 in China.

On the back, the Honor X9 has a triple camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, as well as a 2MP macro and depth lens.
Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chip works together with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage to run Magic UI 5.0 based on Android 11. The Honor X9 draws its power from a 4,800 mAh battery that supports fast charging by up to 66W.
Among the extra features of the Honor X9 are Face ID support and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. In addition, there is a support for Dual-SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS. There is a USB-C port on the bottom of the device.

There is currently no information available on the Honor X9 pricing. When available, users will be able to purchase it in Midnight Black, Titanium Silver and Ocean Blue.
The company is also planning to launch the Honor X7 in global markets soon. It is likely to be a rebranded version of the Honor X30i , which is currently exclusive to the Chinese market.
