Both the V30 and V30 Pro support NSA & SA 5G dual-mode, thanks to Kirin 990 with Balong 5000 modem and Kirin 990 5G respectively. They are the same chipset, however, the latter has the modem built-in which means power consumption is lower for better battery life. Speaking of, the standard model has a slightly higher battery capacity at 4200mAh while the pro model clocks in at 4100mAH. The former is capped at 22.5W fast charging while the latter supports 40W Huawei SuperCharge, 27W fast wireless charging, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging. Neither of the two comes with an under-screen fingerprint scanner nor audio jack, which means you’re left with the side-mounted capacitive scanner and audio via USB-C.

Honor V30 series is also packed with cameras. For starters, there are two selfie cameras housed inside a dual-pinhole design on the top-left corner. The first sensor is of 32MP f2.0 wide while the second sensor is of 8MP f2.2 17mm equivalent ultrawide. For the back cameras, both are using a 40MP lens, however, the pro model features f1.6 with optical image stabilization. The secondary lens is of 8MP f2.4 telephoto that allows up to 3x optical zoom along with OIS. While the third and last sensor is an ultrawide type, but the standard model uses an 8MP f2.4 while the other uses 12MP f2.2 with laser autofocus. Video recording is capped at 4K @ 30fps with electronic image stabilization.

Honor’s 2019 flagship phones use 6.57″ IPS LCDs and run on Android 10 with Magic UI 3 on top.
