Honor has made an exciting announcement about its upcoming Magic 6 series, revealing that it will be powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform.
The Magic 6 smartphones will introduce innovative features, including a brand-new AI assistant named YOYO and an eye-tracking-based multimodal interaction called Magic Capsule.
YOYO stands out with its on-device large language model, boasting an impressive 7 billion parameters. This capability enables YOYO to perform intricate tasks like answering queries, crafting short videos, and offering personalized recommendations—all without the need to send data to the cloud.
The Magic Capsule is another intriguing addition, offering a fresh way to interact with your phone using your eyes. This feature will be driven by Snapdragon Seamless technology, although specific details on how it functions have yet to be disclosed.
The Honor Magic 6 series is expected to consist of two models: the Honor Magic 6 and the Magic 6 Pro. The latter has already been spotted in the wild, featuring a pill-shaped notch and anticipated to house the same 12MP ultrawide selfie camera and time-of-flight (ToF) 3D camera as the Magic 5 Pro.
