Google Redesigns Workspace App Icons

Google is rolling out a redesign of its Workspace app icons, including Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and other services.

According to 9to5Google, the updated design uses gradient effects and cleaner shapes, while removing the previous requirement for all icons to include the full set of Google colors.

Gmail retains its envelope “M” shape with a more rounded look and red as the main color. Google Drive keeps its triangular form but has now a smoother design with reduced color layering.

Meanwhile, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides continue using their signature colors with simplified icon styles.

Google Calendar shifts back to a more minimal blue-based design inspired by a traditional flip calendar.

Other apps, such as Google Chat and Google Meet, also receive updated icons with revised shapes and color adjustments, along with changes to apps like Google Keep and Google Tasks.
