With the release of the Android 17 Beta 4 update from Google, a report has surfaced suggesting a new upcoming Pixel feature.

Based on an APK teardown by AndroidAuthority, the feature is called Pixel Glow. It appears to be an LED-based notification system on the back of the phone, which can light up in various colors or patterns to indicate incoming calls, messages, or other alerts when the device is placed face down.
The screenshot shared in the report also revealed that when Flash notifications are enabled, the feature will not be visible. Additionally, code found in the beta implies that Pixel Glow will need specific hardware lighting.
Subtle lighting effects for incoming calls from favorite contacts, visual feedback during hands-free operation, subtle lights when interacting with Gemini, and other use cases for Pixel Glow are also hinted at in other code strings

Although past leaked renders of the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Fold have no visible lighting system or anything that looks like an LED system, except for the camera flash. This means that this feature is either somewhat hidden or Google is planning on implementing it on future Pixel devices.
Stay tuned for more updates.
