Google announced new AI-powered editing tools for Android 17.
One of the new features is Smart Enhance in Instagram’s Edits app. The tool uses on-device AI to improve the quality of photos and videos with a single tap, including sharpening details and upscaling content.

Android 17 also introduces Sound Separation, an AI-based audio editing feature that can identify and separate different sounds in a video. Users can reduce background noise, such as wind or crowd sounds, while boosting voices, music, or other selected audio tracks.
Google also revealed Screen Reactions, a feature that allows users to record both their screen and front camera at the same time.

The company said the tool is designed for reaction videos, commentary clips, and similar content formats. It will first roll out to Pixel devices this summer.
Alongside the AI tools, Google confirmed deeper integration with Instagram on supported Android devices. New features include Ultra HDR photo support, built-in video stabilization, and Night Sight integration for low-light photography.

The company also said the Adobe Premiere app is coming to Android, bringing mobile video editing tools and templates for creating YouTube Shorts.
The new Android 17 creator features are expected to roll out from June 2026 to August 2026.
