The Sony Xperia Z-series is one of Sony’s biggest breakthroughs of 2015 and we figured to see more of the said lineup, like a possible Z6 perhaps, however, that might not seem to be the case since the newly introduced X-series might be looking to take over the Z-series’ limelight.

The comment came in on a German Sony Facebook page. A person asked for news regarding the expected Xperia Z6 and a Sony German page moderator answered with this.
It seems that the X-series, a series that is recently introduced in this year’s MWC is expected to replace the Z-series as a whole and thus a possibility of a Xperia Z6 is no more. In another comment thread, the page moderator also replied that Sony is looking to meet the people’s demands and thus swaying away on the Z-series.
Now, this could primarily mean that the X Performance might be Sony’s main flagship of the entirely of 2016, though we think Sony still has a few upcoming handsets in the mix, however, one thing for sure, it won’t be the Z6.
