Globe AT HOME is offering a free internet speed boost of up to 1 Gbps, together with a free WiFi 6 modem upgrade to eligible customers, to cope with the challenges of rising expenses and the ongoing energy crisis.
Subscribers whose current modems cannot support the upgraded speeds can opt to upgrade their WiFi 6 modem for free, but with a required 24‑month re‑lockup.
The company said it aims to support the government’s energy conservation efforts by offering free Wi-Fi 6 upgrades and speed boosts of up to 1 Gbps, ensuring a seamless experience for customers working or studying from home.
“In solidarity with the government’s call for energy conservation, Globe AT HOME is committed to making the remote work and education experience as seamless as possible. By providing complimentary speed boosts of up to 1 Gbps and free WiFi 6 upgrades, we are empowering our customers to stay productive from the comfort of their homes,” said Abigail Cardino, Vice President and Head of Brand Management, Broadband Business at Globe.
The company added that moving digital tasks to the home helps lower collective fuel consumption and eases the demand on transportation energy.
Through this initiative, Globe At Home strengthens its commitment to national resilience and community support. The company also said that it aims to go beyond technical upgrades by providing connectivity designed to empower families and ensure Filipino households remain productive and connected regardless of the circumstances.
