
After a brief outage on Monday that affected thousands of users, the social networking apps Instagram and Facebook, the messaging service WhatsApp, and the app Threads that is similar to Twitter have all been restored to their regular online states.
During the worst part of the outage, which lasted for more than an hour, more than 14,000 individuals reported that they were unable to access Instagram. There were approximately 7,000 Facebook users and 2,700 WhatsApp users who had technical difficulties.
Threads, the newest app offered by Meta approximately 470 users reported that they were unable to access the app.
At the time, nearly 20,000 users in total said they were having trouble getting Facebook and Instagram and Meta’s messaging service WhatsApp, according to outage-tracking website Downdetector.com.
The company also said that problems with Meta’s Ads Manager, which lets brands buy and make Facebook ads, had been fixed. But the problems were not everywhere. Most people in India were able to use Facebook and Instagram just fine.
