After making double-digit gains in the third quarter of the year, Converge ICT, an internet service provider in the Philippines, said it would give free speed upgrades to its residential base plan users.
Converge ICT will start today, November 11, 2022! Now, the speed of its FiberX Plan 1500 will double from 100Mbps to 200Mbps.

The FiberX Plan 2500 will also get twice as fast of speeds, from 300Mbps to up to 600Mbps. These free speed upgrades will stay in place until Converge makes them even quicker.
Also, the telco will be putting out two new high-end plans. There’s the FiberX Plan 2000, which can go up to 400Mbps, and the FiberX Plan 7499, which can go up to 1Gbps.
GOOD NEWS! The FiberX Plan 3500 is still around and speeds up to 800Mbps.

According to the company, they could offer significant free speed upgrades because their network was built with “significant built-in capacity.” They didn’t have to make any additional capital expenditures.
The free speed upgrade is Converge’s way of saying thank you to its customers after its net income rose by 11% from July to September to Php2.157 billion from Php1.946 billion during the same time last year. Their income went from Php7,050 billion to Php8,427 billion, which is a big jump.
